Went the van to Travis wetlands we were met by Pete the C.c.c environmental educator 

I learnt about ankle and my tray bags damselfly nymph,water flea,backswimmer,leech water boatman,
Flat worm,
Cyclops,midge larvae

We used sieve,figer8 and rock and roll.

This term we are learning about our wild manu.
They are endangered by predators like stoats, rats, possums and mice.

We are making traps to catch the pests that are harming our wild birds. We need to design them before they get made.We have been watching lots of videos about protecting our wild manu.

Above is a poster i made with my friends Jasmine and Makaia. We are designing our own rat traps and might be able to make them.

Waipara Adventure camp

It was a sunny day at school.We loaded all the luggage on the new yellow buses.
On the bus it was so boring i was looking at a drink bottle.
When we got there all the year fives were waiting for the buses to pick them up.

On the giant swing we had to line  up. I was second in the line after the first person went it was my turn on the swing. As every one helped pull me up to the top of the trees. When it swung i was so scared. It was as high as a giraffe.

All  you could see was trees and birds. all the birds were sitting on the tall trees.
Later that night we all told funny stories and fell asleep.
Our cabin was the dormitory.
The next bay we are going back to school today.

All of our luggage on the  buses  we put them in big piles.
we hopped on buses to see the little kids run in marathon.
